I think Cinnamon was the best decision I made for an Endeavour DE but man I was tiring of all my tiny grouped and pinned apps on the taskbar with the applets.
I had used Plank for so long I tried to get along without it. I went on a dock search in AUR+Extras.
I had to exclude some fine fine docks because I can’t have things like kwallet/knotifications, historically, in this environment.

Voila! Looks just like Plank. The platform effect is neato but that’s about it for the effects. No hovering animation. Note when you hover over an active app there is a gigantic space-sucking baloon that says nothing.
When you have your app launched (chromium here) the dot is here. Unlike when it’s minimized.
The spelling of Invisible is irksome and the settings are plentiful but it still doesn’t have half of what Plank has. The add applets is minimal:
I’m still learning the preferences. If the Plank is the 787 Dreamliner plane then Dockbarx is a turbo prop that seats 75 and you have to throw your bag in the cargo bay yourself and there is no steward/stewardess: Both get you the same place the same way though.
It’s to the point. I’m keeping it.
