It has plenty to say about LXQt (mostly positive), and very little to say about EndeavourOS, as 
does it’s job perfectly (easy to install a DE and set up with minimal customisation).

Nothing wrong with wanting it simple. My EndeavourOS install is openbox wm. As a matter of fact, all of my Arch based installed distros run openbox wm. And if by chance I install any other type of distro besides Arch based, they run openbox wm as well. 
Labwc is openboxish…is nice
I like to stick with strickly openbox and not a fork of openbox or openboxish.

The only thing surprising about Jesse’s review is the upcoming LXQT Wayland. I had been led to believe by “experts in the internets” that LXQT was going to be X11 forever like Mate…
Lxqt you can say is a DE without wm or wc. Means end user choice.
Like xfce , lxqt made wayland proof a bit. Is stil not on a level as gnome or kde at the end. Longterm i dont know what goingbin dept if path of wc go further i dont know what wil happend on x11 wm use down te road. Future onlt tells
thanks for getting me up to speed on that. interesting. I am also convinced that outside of KDE and Gnome no other DE’s integrate Wayland well (looking at you, Budgie) at all. Always enjoyed lxqt.
