Non-KDE Installations

In order to allow icons to display (no missing icons) correctly when you are not running a KDE desktop environment you must install a KDE icon theme and activate it in Digikam’s settings.

Install breeze-icons

Once installed you should configure Digikam to use the icons:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Configure digiKam > Miscellaneous
  2. Now in Appearance, select “Breeze” or “Breeze Dark” as Icon Theme

Restart Digikam and enjoy consistent icons within the app.
