Hello Guys I’m a newbie in Linux and endeavouros in general so I have faced no problems until now but I have an issue on Xfce desktop that icon not showing the text under every icon
I’d check a couple of things.
- Does the issue persist upon logging out and on the session?
- If yes, does resetting desktop icons or changing the font size under
Settings > Desktop
help? - And finally, what are the desktop entries under
~/Desktop
or however your locale is displaying the desktop folder? The parameterName=
might be empty, hence the icon label isn’t displayed correctly.
-
no it’s is the same if I logged out or not
-
I tried to move icons nothing changed
[Desktop Entry] Name=Discord StartupWMClass=discord Comment=All-in-one voice and text chat for gamers that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. GenericName=Internet Messenger Exec=/usr/bin/discord Icon=discord Type=Application Categories=Network;InstantMessaging; Path=/usr/bin
as you see nothing is wrong it should show me the name
Open the Xfce Appearance app. On the Fonts tab, what do you see for Default Font?
Your Default Font may not be installed on your system.
For example, my Default Font is Cantarell Regular. I can confirm that it is installed on my system with this terminal command:
pacman -Qs cantarell
Try selecting a different Default Font from the list. When you click the Select button, the new Default Font should be used immediately for icon text on the desktop.
