In which file the positions of the KDE desktop files and folders (folder view) are stored?
I use same installation as a backup system and synchronize certain files and folders with an rsync script.

Partially in
~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
but the config files are scattered along in several places This might be partially true
I do not know much about indexing
baloosearch <folder or file > -i
balooshow <index>
you can get the creation and modification time by these commands as additional pieces of info.
