In cinnamon when I set a custom background it just shows up as black. I have noticed this does not happen when I choose a pre installed background. (yes I am using an amd card). Does anyone have any solutions? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
I’m in Cinnamon.
black is my “background” but it means nothing because Cinnamon pulls from the folders you tell it to
the top half of my right-click-on-desktop-change-background-menu ^
note this top half is stuff that came stock, mostly
see bottom half:
bottom stuff is where I directed Cinnamon to find the folders with + (add folder full of pics) sign.
So…
If you are using + sign to add wallpapers and Cinnamon says NO WAY I don’t know what that means…
unless folder is outside of the purview of adding, if there is one?
some service got shut down?
you are running competing wallpaper app like Variety?
that’s it for my brain tonight
