Creating 64bit Wine Prefix

Hi all, hoping this is the correct place to put this, im having an issue with using Lutris at the moment that im hoping to get some support.

Im trying to install the battle.net client with lutris so i can install D4, however when trying to install the battle.net client the installer seems to get stuck on Creating 64bit Wine prefix.
Im not totally sure where to look for logs at all for this, as nothings being outputted in the application itself, but it just spins forever on this section. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can only offer this.

Lutris needs Wine as a prerequisite. So it would be good to install Wine and its dependencies and then install Lutris. Did this in that direction and was able to install BattleNet in Lutris and Diablo IV in BattleNet.

There’s a problem with both installing and running Battle.net currently in Wine versions past 9.15, you may be bumping up against that.

I have yet to dig into it too deeply myself to try and resolve it but it has stopped me from spending any money on the last WoW expansion, so personally it hasn’t been the worst bug in the world

Actually, I’m using wine-staging v9.12 from Arch multilib-repo. Just have the issue, that BattleNet is very slow when trying to open it. Game pages are being loaded very slowly. But I’m able to launch BattleNet and e. g. Diablo IV.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion here with EndeavourOS/Arch, I don’t even run Arch anymore. But I prefer running my game launchers(Steam and Lutris) and games running in some sort of sandbox, I use Flatpak never had any issues running it that way.

I’m not using Flatpak apps on EOS/Arch. I’m just using system packages and packages from the AUR, if needed.

I thought so that’s why I said it’s not a popular opinion. But maybe as a test try installing Lutris as a flatpak and then see if you are having the same issue there or not.

Could be in interesting test. Then Lutris should be installed together with all its dependencies …

Also, it should be possible to try Flatpak version in parallel. Don’t have to remove system Lutris.
