I’ve recently installed Endeavour OS Gnome. I can’t find the shortcut key to start terminal.
It is the new Console.
I’ve tried kgx, but it did not work.
Any clue?
Thanks in advance!
Did you install it? It is part of the package gnome-console
. I believe, like many distros, we are still shipping gnome-terminal
due to the significant feature gap.
I just installed gnome-console
for the sake of testing.
I assigned super+T to kgx in:
Settings > Keyboard > View and Customize Shortcuts > Custom Shorcuts > +
It works fine on my end.
This gnome-console terminal is part of the Gnome DE when I installed Endeavour OS.
I guess we did switch to gnome-console
late last year.
yes confirmed . we switched it to console because gnome-terminal is not using libadwaita and was falling off the default theming from GNOME …
Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your reply!
but indeed you can install gnome-terminal if you like it better… or even xfce4-terminal-
I’m enjoying the simplicity and funtionallity of Console terminal.
Thank you very much for your attention in answering my question!
