Conky displays without borders

I am running endeavouros i3wm.

I’ve installed conky. I set up the built-in config at ~/.config/conky/conky.conf. I made one change to the configuration file…changed own_window_type = ‘override’. When I run conky, I get this look:

This is what I want…a display that is transparent with no borders.

When I installed conky-manager2, and displayed some of the demos, with the override type, they all have a border around them. I’ve done a side-by-side comparison of the conf files, and cannot figure out how to lose the border.

Can anyone help me here?

The solution was very simple, I had to add own_window_class = ‘Conky’ to the demo config files I wanted to display either through conky-manager2 or just conky pointing to the demo config file.

Somehow, I missed this on the side-by-side comparison I mentioned in my first post.
