Conky: add some extra data

The part right after what you quoted from the Conky Archwiki, for conky.desktop file will work in Cinnamon.

Glad to hear you got your conky running again.

I am not sure what you mean. I have conky.desktop in the ~/.config folder, but autostart does not work.

I was trying to get you to the next paragraph on Conky Archwiki for the conky.desktop, where the file goes, and what information to put in the file.

~/.config/autostart/conky.desktop

[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=conky
Exec=conky --daemonize --pause=5
StartupNotify=false
Terminal=false

If your conky.desktop file has the above in it, move it into the ~/.config/autostart folder. I tested this on an EOS Cinnamon install, and it worked to start your conky config upon reboot.

I went back to that page and saw those lines; I had seen them when you 1st mentioned the page, but did not think it was applicable to me. I should have checked again when you mentioned it the 2nd time. I apologize for being dense, I sometimes/often/always(?) have that problem :blush:

Anyway, that worked after I amended the file.
Many thanks for your help and esp. your patience.
