I mention it because I actually used to own a commodore 64 with original joy sticks, and some custom games that me nephew some how acquired. But that’s another story. New on April 22 is, Commodore OS Vision. “Commodore OS Vision 3.0 is the largest, games oriented, Linux distribution ever produced, featuring 200+ free linux compatible games as well as an assortment of classic Commodore games and demos that will undoubtedly scratch your nostalgic itch.”
It may be time to do a quick distro hop, and maybe have a blast from the past

Damn, it’s a 35.2 GB download. That was unexpected.
That may suit some individuals, but I’ m not buying it. IMO trying to re invent a commodore 64 is ludicrous. Part of the nostalgia of that old system is the fact that it is an old system. It was a minimal machine. It lacked tech that is available today, yet it worked wonderfully. No way that can be reproduced. I would equate it to going to a concert, and listening to some arbitrary group play war pigs when I saw Black Sabbath play it twice. It may sound good, and all, but still, it’s a shadow of what it try’s to portrait. There is no comparison.
35.2 GB, you would need approximately 12,973 3.5-inch high-density floppy disks, as each floppy disk can hold about 0.01 GB.
