Command systemd-id-machineid-setup finished with exit code 127

I downloaded the ISO yesterday and im unable to install endeavour os for some reason.

Welcome to the forum!

Maybe mirrors are not working properly?
Please try fixing mirrors with command reflector-simple before install.

What does machineid have to do with mirrors?

BTW, I face the same issue on installation.
Logs do not include any sign of this error, it is only a popup message and calamares closes, with terminal staying open and stalled during downloading packages.

Edit: my case was from a multiboot USB (manual boot from grub cmdline, actually).
Using a normally written USB installer my installation was successful, without this error.
Now, I have to learn BSPWM navigation… :grimacing:

I am having the same error and I cannot figure out why.

My USB is formatted fine. I only get this error when I try to install with KDE online. If I go offline, it will finish, but the OS will not update at all. Fails every time.

I will try once more from a fresh USB.

I had the same issue with the online installer, had to use the offline installer for it to work. Last time I had used the offline installer, on the august ISO, it gave me a broken system. I hope this issue gets patched.

Please feel free to use the latest ISO. EndeavourOS is a rolling release distribution.

I used the latest ISO. I was just mentioning my bad experience with offline install at an earlier time. I don’t really trust the offline installer because of it.

What was broken?

I can’t remember. All I know was that it was bad enough for a reinstall. My apps probably weren’t working. Anyway, that was a long time ago and I have never had issues with offline installs since. The only thing I am annoyed about is the online installer not working because of this error.

Can you return:

I’m receiving the same error. Fairly new to Linux and chose to erase and replace windows. I’ve only tried the online installation because I want to use vanilla and gnome. Is it fairly simple to install these after doing an offline installation with xfce? Here’s my log

Thanks

sound something on your disk space, on which disk you want to install ?
