Cleanup of the UEFI boot menu

I would like to remove old entries from the boot order selection in my UEFI-settings (formerly installed operating systems that are now stuck there). Is there a possibility?

Hello @anon59358842
Yes, you can use efibootmgr.

Edit: man efibootmgr

Addendum: Very nice, that worked well. Now I can sleep calmly again.

Busted! It’s the darn keyboard’s fault. I know exactly what I want to type, but the keyboard doesn’t always understand.

just to add to this…
use ‘bootctl status’ too if you’re not using that annoying grub thingy lol
I’m about to delete an entry that looks weird so I might be in trouble again later
