Cinnamon not displaying all running application icons on taskbar

I’m having an issue with some apps in cinnamon where the app is running fine but on the app panel instead of getting the icon making it easily I get a tiny sliver of emptiness.

It seems to happen most often to AppImage apps but I’ve also seen it on a couple of aur packages. The main one I’m having issues with at the minute is prusaslicer

Not enough info for me. I have tried to reproduce the phenomenon – negative.
Have you tried right-clicking to panel and
Right_click_on_panel
Make a copy of .config before this action.
