I saw the same thing. I’ve tried on real hardware, in a VM, with XLibre: all failed to load a complete desktop. Even Cinnamon (Software Rendering) didn’t work. Strange thing is that there are very few error messages, giving little information as to why this is happening.

The sad reality is that Cinnamon users on Arch are basically beta testers for Linux Mint. I would suggest opening an issue at https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues (I could not see a current issue that described your problem as above).

Also noticed the same thing and was looking around for a fix or if to just hold back on this.

[image] drunkenvicar: What does the -replace do? It’s actually --replace, with 2 hyphens - this forum combines 2 hyphens into one longer dash (an em dash) unless you format the text. Basically it restarts Cinnamon.

for the record or anyone experiencing this: the cinnamon –replace command produced ‘invalid command’ (or something) in terminal output. It did not work. What did work: pacman -Syu because Arch/Endeavour had a new Cinnamon update ready, so reboot and I was fine.
