Changing video cards?

I’m dumping my RTX3060 Geforce Nvidia card for a ASUS Dual Radeon™ RX 7600 V2 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card . It doesn’t have 12-gig like the Nvidia which I’m fine with but it does have the upper edge on the RTX3060 and is fine with 1080 video games. Any thought’s on this? I’m over the Nvidia b.s. and proprietary handware and video graphics software. My understanding is that the Radeon AMD video card is primarily ‘opensoure’ hardware and software is widely accepted in Linux. Being the case why would anyone use Nvidia except Window’s aficionados? Any thoughts on this subject? Just wondering. . . .

Congrats on a smart decision! My life improved ten fold when I dumped NVidia.

ASUS Dual Radeon™ RX 7600 V2 OC Edition. . . . Just installed this card a few minutes ago and put the Nvidia on the shelf. This card is smaller in size than the Nvidia, faster, and pretty quiet with the two fans. I was wondering if anything should be installed (i.e. software) from the repositories for this card. I noticed a bunch of files and was wondering if any file would be applicable for any AMD video card. . . Any idea’s would be appreciated. So far the card is working great. I removed all Nvidia files from my system and am pleased with what I am experiencing.
