A seemingly simple question…
One of the offerings within the EOS Welcome app is to change display managers. I have 4 choices available. What, if anything, might be a reason to switch DMs?
Although it ain’t broken, I typically tweak my setup until I break it, so just curious as to what lies ahead. 
For me the biggest reason would be switching to another DE, as some of the DMs are more or less tightly connected to specific desktops. For example, SDDM is Plasma’s thing, while GDM is the standard DM for GNOME. LightDM is by far the most universal one.
Of course, nothing can prevent you from switching to another one (it’s Linux after all), just bear in mind if you use more DE-specific display manager that comes with your DE, your experience may be much different.
That’s consistent with what I thought … currently using lightdm which apparently covers most bases. Thanks!
