CD Ripping App Recommendation Please

Coming from morituri back in the days, the only choice for me is whipper. Anything but the perfect FLAC is unacceptable.

Don’t forget to test & calibrate your drive. Some few drives aren’t compatible. My recommendation: Replace the drive, not the software!

Sorry to bring up this old thread  But whipper is amazing. Just a few commands and you have the perfect rip.

I’ve checked the AccurateRip Database first, bought the same drive as @UncleSpellbinder
Works without any problems.

Wasn’t Clementine replaced by Strawberry? I thought so… but what do I know. HEHE very little really haha… either way I love Clementine/Strawberry (favorite music player ever really). I was totally unaware it was capable of ripping CD’s though. I got an external DVD/CD player or whatever from Dell with my new computer. I have not tested it yet, but I am going to do so today (later on) with some of my DVD/CDs. I am actually pretty excited about it. My dad got a little water on it when he was carrying it upstairs (he had the CD/DVD player and a water flossing thingy in the same hand) so I hope it still works. It was only a little water… so I hope it is not an issue?

Clementine (which is available in the AUR) can rip CDs. Strawberry which is a fork of it, can’t as it focuses more on hi-quality playback.
