Cant start reflector-simple libgspell-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file

Here’s the output from running reflector-simple in terminal.

reflector-simple: info: reading file /etc/reflector-simple-tool.conf
reflector-simple: info: package geoip is not installed
reflector-simple: info: reading file /etc/reflector-simple.conf
/usr/bin/yad: error while loading shared libraries: libgspell-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Do you have yad installed? It has a dependency gspell which includes that lib.
You also need package geoip.
Also, does your /etc/pacman.conf have the [endeavouros] repository as the first?

yad is installed.
now i have installed geoip

I found this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=299362 when searching libgspell-1.so.2 No such file or directory

here is my libgspell version

yay -Ss libgspell
extra/gspell 1.14.0-1 (100.6 KiB 445.7 KiB) (Installed)
    Spell-checking library for GTK applications

my mirrorlist is actually. now is up to date. reflector-simple is working again now.

Great that you got it solved! :+1:

Note that this command does not show the version installed on your system but the latest available (according to your local database). The command to get the currently installed version is e.g.

pacman -Q gspell
