Hi, since today I can’t play any videos on any website like youtube or twitch.
I tried LTS kernel and the edge, no difference whatsoever.
Browser? Any new add-ons? Start browser in safe-mode? Clear cache?
Tried Brave browser and Chromium with and without addons and clear cache.
Update: While writing this post it works again. I kinda feel dumb as I’ve tried everything for 1 hour and not doing anything fixed it.

Yes I really don’t understand. I’m running KDE+I3WM and I3WM start up notion-app and brave browser at the startup so I thought that maybe something might have crashed but now it works without disabling the two lines that start these applications.
Can you play videos in mpv?
Get the url of some youtube video, any video will do, and then
mpv -v URL
Then see the log.
Of course, I’m assuming you have mpv and youtube-dl.
Yes, it does work without any problem. Now it seems to work also on Brave Browser, thanks for that command it seems to be a great tool for debugging. I will use it next time I have a problem.

Doesn’t work on Firefox or Chromium?
Ok, so I think I found the cause. I have a Bluetooth DAC that I use to connect to headphones. I often listen wirelessly using this DAC.
When I set up the audio profile to anything other than High Fidelity Playback, I can’t watch videos. It’s not really a problem since it’s a better standard to listen to music/stuff.
I think that after an update it probably changed the default profile to something not supported like Headset Audio profile HSP/HFP which crashes videos.
