Are these correct?
Looks like I got it fixed. Downgraded to some older drivers that I was using prior to this fiasco and that worked, I can get into my system just fine now. Iāll consider this solved barring some other unexpected hiccup, but thanks so much for the help!

yesā¦
Yeah itās definitely the more up to date drivers. When I use those I canāt boot properly into my system, when I use the downgraded ones things work fine.
downgrading packages is always only a workaround.
So youāre saying I should try to resolve the issues caused by having up to date nvidia drivers?
what does nvidia-inst --drivers
say?

Yes thatās the issue I was trying to solve when I encountered the issue that started my initial post here. Iām told that this will help me address that, is that correct?
envycontrol is the easiest way to handle i think still⦠personally never had such system in use.
Gotcha. So as far as me needing to use downgraded drivers, did the output I provided a few responses ago clarify why I canāt use up to date stuff?
not really⦠its strange⦠but as i mentioned never had such optimus system in use, could be an issue with this.
sudo dmesg | grep modeset
shows something?

When I tried using envycontrol to change to nvidia and rebooted, I again couldnāt boot properly and had to go to tty. Hereās the log I got when I checked to see what was happening.
thats not any log shows status of nvidia service.
