Since few weeks I cannot switch to my external monitor with F7 key. Instead I have to klick on Monitors and select the correct monitor with my mouse.
But if I do not see the desktop I cannot klick with mouse, so I need a key to switch.
The years before it worked without any issue …
All other F-keys are working fine
Strange thing is … if I boot into the iso from usb the key works.
So I assume it was one of the latest updates …
After re-installing EOS in offline mode (version 2025-03-19) it works …
After update the newly installed EOS - it does not work anymore.
I assume you are using KDE.
It could be a Plasma setting changed, worth checking.
Bugs are coming and going. Try to define a similar shortcut:
Yes it is KDE. Even defining a new shortcut will not help.
I installed now Fedora with KDE and everything is working fine …
