Cannot Start Live ISO

I’m having trouble getting my bootable USB to work. When I attempt to boot using the Nvidia UEFI installer this happens:

ou can try to
fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished

sh: can’t access tty; job control turned off

Irootfs ~J#

I used etcher to flash the drive as it worked perfectly on my laptop. I have secure boot disabled.

It looks a problem with the downloaded file, the process of writing to the drive or a failure in the physical drive itself.

I tried using Rufus to flash the USB, redownloading the ISO, and using a different flash drive, but I got the same error message each time. Do you have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this further?

You try passing this kernel parameter which replaced the nordrand parameter or you could try either one i suppose. Not sure what you hardware is?

random.trust_cpu

Edit: Actually.
The generic random.trust_cpu=0 support for indicating you don’t trust your CPU’s RNG was added to the kernel back in 2018.

Edit: Have you checked if there is a Bios update for your system?
