Please take a look at the arch forum

Post #3: There’s an odd mix of 0.3.3 and 0.4.0 openshot-related packages in [extra] and [extra-testing] right now, resulting in broken dependencies.

Likely it’ll be resolved by tomorrow.

I think so too. After all, it’s Christmas.
I just wanted to draw attention to it

Noticed this today. . . . also after large update. (had several files that had to be omitted) in order to get the rest installed. . .

.
4 extra/libopenshot 0.3.3-10 → 0.4.0-1
3 extra/libphonenumber 1:8.13.50-1 → 1:8.13.52-2
2 extra/mixxx 2.4.2-1 → 2.4.2-3
1 extra/protobuf 28.3-2 → 29.2-1

These files were the ones with problems. . . . Some how they all interact with one and another. . .

What program is libopenshot needed for. I don’t have it on my system.

Its one of the dependencies of openshot which is available in the extra repository of Arch. Seems to be flagged as out of date.

That explains it. Not using openshot.

It’s good to have ‘Kdenlive’ working. . . . . I also had ‘Openshot’ on my system. Software redundancy helps if something doesn’t work and you have another program to fall back on. Kdenlive is pretty good all by itself. People say it’s just added bloat but with all of the storage space available programs that do the same to lesser degrees shouldn’t be an issue if you’ve got a lot of space not being used.
