indeed, old ISO is not supported, you can use offline installs from older ISOs and they will mostlikely install the OS, but they are build in point of time from when the ISO was created, no automatic issue resolving with updates it ALL manual intervention.
And in case using reiserfs it will may work for a while, but its a now unsupported filesystem.
