Usually, after installing kio-gdrive I can set up a new Google online account (which I’ve done) and then access Gdrive from Dolphin from the Network node. However, when I open “Google Drive” from Dolphin, it just tells me that it’s loading, but it stays like that forever… is that a known issue?

It’s kind of strange it works perfectly in Kubuntu (using recent version of Plasma through the PPA backport).
Same here. Neither Dolphin nor Krusader load “gdrive:/”.

Yes, this is a weird bug. Back in October 2020 when it was reported in Kubuntu 20.10, it was working fine for me, and continued to do so until just recently. And now it’s affecting Endeavour/Arch, but fine in the latest Kubuntu 
I’m OK, because I’m also using Insync, but it’s proprietary and not free, so it’s not for everyone.
Adding comments to the bug report might help bring attention to it @lorebett @chalex20

I now wonder if that’s something to do with the kernel…
It’s reproducible both with 5.16-zen and with 5.15 LTS.
Just rebuilding libkgapi on my own machine fixed the issue.
By rebuilding do you mean compile it manually from sources or through AUR?
pbget libkgapi
edit the PKGBUILD setting the package release to “1.1”
makepkg -si in the appropriate directory.
I see that in the default PKGBUILD you have
pkgrel=1
So it means that it has to be upgraded to release 1.1. In general, it’s a problem with the current release, then?
No, “pkgrel” is not the application version, it’s the package version (say you changed the way you build). Arch doesn’t use “1.1” but rather “1”, “2” and so on. I used “1.1” so that the system consider this an upgrade. Then when the next Arch package comes on, it will be “2” which is “bigger” than “1.1”, and the package will be upgraded seamlessly.

BTW, does anyone here succeeds to connect GoogleCalendar to Kontact/Korganizer/Kalendar? In the end, the same libkgapi seems to be involved here as well. No, recompiling it didn’t help any.
I can connect to Google calendar with korganizer, without recompiling anything, though sometimes, after login, I get errors about problems in deleting events, but that’s another known bug.
