Can I pay someone to fix a kernel issue?

Continuing on the topic I raised here (Touchpad issue on XPS 9720), is it reasonable/doable to pay a Linux kernel contributor to look into this and patch?

If so, how would one go about finding a kernel contributor that can do this? Open to suggestions

Try asking on the LKML:

Is it working ok on Windows ? If yes, than issue is for sure with Linux

i do not think there is https://bountysource.com/ for kernel issues ?

There’s always the option for professional linux support. Many companies offer that, and many are well versed in kernel and/or driver issues. Posting to the LKML is free, of course.
