Can I disable mouse scroll wheel?

Hi. I have a great mouse, but its scroll wheel went haywire. I already found “Press middle button and move mouse to scroll” which is pretty good for me. But I also need to disable the scroll wheel so it does not move my screen randomly. Can I do it?

Plasma, Wayland.

Thanks in advance.

@BoredCat, perhaps this:

It’s in the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/input-remapper-git

I did, but all I found were X11 solutions

The link I provided for the remapper says…

An easy to use tool for Linux to change the behaviour of your input devices.
Supports X11, Wayland, combinations, programmable macros, joysticks, wheels,
triggers, keys, mouse-movements and more. Maps any input to any other input.

Yes, I replied to comment above you. I will try it.

edit: I tried, but all I see is option to remap input to another input, not to disable it. Do I miss something?

edit edit: I found it, but it also disables my scrolling, I revert to normal

You could try piper. If the mouse model is supported and scroll wheel is configurable you are ready to go.

Mouse model is not supported.

Bummer :frowning:

Ok, I guess I will just deal with it, as for some reason disabling it in Input Remapper also disables my middle click scroll.
