I realize that EOS uses its own fork of Calamares, but in my initial testing of release 3.4.2 I have not noticed any issues. My Ezarcher release with the latest Calamares version is currently in testing. I was curious if anyone else has seen or used the latest release. Also, is the latest EOS using the codebase from the latest Calamares? Thanks.
I don’t know the answers to these but I’m going to try out your new ISO and install it dual boot with Windows 11 Pro on one of my laptops. I usually use grub and btrfs with btrfs-assistant and snapper-support. It will be KDE of course.
Thank you for the interest. Just in case its hard to find, here is the link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ezarcher-testing/
Do you not have a KDE ISO? I installed the Cinnamon version. No issues. I didn’t see any options for grub? It showed boot as /efi so i assume it’s systemd-boot. I installed it on xfs. Works great.
We are not currently using the latest in our fork.
I update it periodically. Usually when something is added that I feel would benefit us. I will almost surely merge upstream before our next major release.
The download button defaults to the Cinnamon version, but the ISOs for all seven desktops are in a subdirectory with the dated release number. I use /efi for the ESP, but I only provide grub as the bootloader. Thanks for the test and feedback. ![]()
I finally found the KDE ISO. Installing that one now.
