Budgie 10.8 rocks -- I may abandon Plank

I’ve used Budgie for a long time and one of the knocks was taskbar not always smooth. Pinning apps/retaining apps on taskbar always an inconsistent thing. Many times a .css had to be overwritten, etc. by the user.
So I hid the icon task bar applet for the last couple years (via budgie-desktop-settings) and got the big shiny dock called Plank.
But now 10.8 not only made the taskbar fully functional but added some features.

So…I have icons that stay on a fully functional and improved taskbar that I re-enabled in settings.
and the same apps showing in Plank.

This kind of redundancy bothers the crap out out me. I don’t need two Firefox icons, Keepass icons, etc etc on a single desktop.
I like it clean and simple, so will have to make a decision. One’s small and ones bigger, visually, so maybe the eyeballs will decide.

And the ibus doesn’t crash budgie-panel, seemingly.

was experimenting with budgie dock view today…unless your bottom panel is all arranged via applets?
Either way, nice!
The icons, if I may ask?
