interesting. Ive already installed the drivers and brscan4 and brscan-skeys… maybe just getting clogged with useless stuff I never had to do in the past. Printer was just recognized on the network. I wonder if its time for a new printer. Last update to drivers from brothers website was 2018… I will look into this driverless script and see if it will help. Thank you.
Try removing the printer from cups in localhost:631. Then try setting it up again.
i think other distros have these local hostname resolution firewall and cups-browsed simply enabled by default… arch does these things different or simply not that’s good for security and to keep system slick…
I have a Brother HL-L2350DW already the second one… the first one simply stopped working after after the warranty expired times of devices with a longer lifespan are over… may it came back with all the new green economy… but … I have my doubts about that …
I have the same printer. I dont do nothing. It’s just there and working.
