Brother printer sometimes is not recognised

Hello.
I need a little help with my printer.
I installed recently a printer Brother DCP-L2530DW on my system and generally the device works pretty good. I found my good drivers on AUR.

But sometimes the app I use for scanning documents – simple-scan, but it’s the same with Skanlite - doesn’t see the printer or it asks to install drivers, and gives me a generic link of the Brother company.

Normally, a restart of the PC solves the issue.
Is that normal?

I’m not extremely knowledgable about scanning but I do have a brother printer. I wonder if using brscan4 from the AUR might be a better option? This one supports your printer.
