Broken wifi and video after system update

Hello, I updated a few days ago and after the restart my system is broken.
No wifi card neither video card (Intel integrated), the only available resolution is 1280x1024, impossible to set the right one (1920 x 1080). The cursor of the mouse is kind of blocked vedy hard to move it.
I’m on KDE Plasma/Wayland. I have a like USB, could be useul…

Anyone experiencing something like that?

Nope. What does your hardware show? post the link.

inxi -Faz | eos-sendlog

Edit

I’m sorry, I have no line

If you have no internet connection (as your post suggests, since you say your wifi is down after the updated) the eos-sendlog command isn’t going to work.

Try inxi -Faz alone and show the output.

$ inxi -Faz

Looks like no modules loaded for WiFi , BlueTooth, or Ethernet. Not sure why?

You could check what rfkill command shows.

Edit: Also this looks like an older motherboard so the ethernet may work on the r8168 package. Unfortunately you need internet to install it. The wifi and bluetooth should work on iwlwfi module.

It tells “impossible to open /dev/rfkill: no périphérique (french) of this type”

The r8168 package only in the AUR now but most realtek should work on the built in r8169 kernel module. So if it ethernet was working before the updates must have done something.

Can you show the whole output from the command? rfkill

Can you show the output of

pacman -Q xf86-video-intel

Have you blacklisted any wifi driver?

Yes i forgot also about video issue. :man_facepalming:

The output is nothing.
I didn’t blacklist any wifi

Does it help if you install xf86-video-intel and reboot?
Also, did you try x11 instead of wayland?

It tells the package “xf86-video-intel was not found”

Edit

This is strange output to me. Did you use just rfkill

@manuel
Since the OP doesn’t have any internet connection on WiFi or Ethernet I wonder if running on the live ISO and arch-chroot and run updates again to see if internet is working on the live ISO? :thinking:

Try

sudo pacman -Syu xf86-video-install

and reboot.
