Broadcom wifi not connecting IP config error

Using Endeavour OS on my old imac now. It is working flawlessly except wifi.
Can someone help?
I followed the steps mentioned here.

Uninstalled broadcom-wl-dkms, brodcom-wl then reinstalled broadcom-wl-dkms.
I have no issue in seeing the wifi connections but after entering password it is showing same error.
Tried having only one of them or both. All the time I get same error.
connection xyz deactivated
Wireless Interface (wlan0)
IP configuration was unavailable
I tried different distros too. Even Fedora I see the same error. Only MXLinux connects to wifi.
