Brave Browser and VSCode take long to load

I use eos booting from flash drive, to be able to use the same system on my pc and laptop. When on the laptop though, the brave browser takes up to around 10 secs to load.

Tested on Gnome and Xfce (btw. laptop being not powerful enough is NOT the problem).

The same happens when opening VS Code on the laptop too. Firefox works fine on both devices.

Any ideas why this occurs and how to fix it?

Can we see an inxi -Fxxxz from both machines?

it might have something to do with electron, vscode uses electron31 now?

Currently I can provide only the output from my laptop:

Try running brave from the terminal and see if there is any output there.

I’ve been just writing it to EDIT of mu original post…

btw. when running VSCode (which behaves the same way as Brave does) from terminal, there is no output. Based on what I’ve found on the web, I have also tried running code --disable-gpu, which hasn’t solved the problem.
