Coming from Manjaro, I stopped it not because it wasn’t good, but for the fact that’s it does not support anymore MATE.
User since 2005 of Linux, for simple use, I will surely need help time to time, even if with Arch there is no bad surprise … this is for the theory … wait and see in practice.
All the best… from the middle of the Pacific, where I am leaving currently far from civilization …
Welcome @Yvance77, enjoy your time here!
If I ever come to the midle of pacific, I`ll blow my horn for you. Then you know you’re not the only one out there.
I applied for work once in the Marshall Islands. I thought that would be a trip and a half. Besides, they had a brewery which astounded me. On the biggest atoll (island more or less) it was 15 minutes in a car top to bottom.
I don’t get paid sh** and I wouldn’t gotten paid crap there, so in many ways I was ready for it. Prepared, researched, studied. A million miles away surrounded by water and another language sounded like the stranger-in-a-strange-land story I was ready for. The odds of 99% of everything going wrong and sideways was too good to pass up. We all need a psychic reset.
But I lost out to the only other candidate.
Congrats, Yvance!

–even though a distro may have shortcomings, it always comes down the the DE not the distro. Do you know how long it took me to get that? (Budgie and Cinnamon user)
