Bluetooth connection problems with mobile device

After successful connection with my wireless earbuds, i have been attempting to connect to my phone to use the Easytether bluetooth tethering to avoid my carriers hotspot throttling. Upon pairing and connecting, it will disconnect and reconnect a few times, then give me this error:
Failed to connect: org.bluez.Error.Failed
Restarting bluetooth services via systemctl and restarting my system completely has proven futile. I have had a similar issue with my wireless earbuds but that has been resolved from a tutorial from another source.

As I am obviously rather new to configuring such things in linux and am still learning to use the terminal efficiently, i appreciate your patience in helping me resolve this.
