Blender files preview don't show

I use a lot Blender, and love that can see the preview of .kra or .xcf, but is it normal that i can’t see .blend previews? or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Blender previews are usually only in the Blender file picker. I am not sure if someone has made a file manager plugin to allow you to see them in a system file manager.

.kra and .xcf files are only visible in system file managers due to extra packages. You may have to do a search on the AUR to find such a plugin.

Or maybe could be a suggestion feature? cause it works with gnome files if i’m correct. Or should i post this in KDE Dolphin forum now that i think about it?

I think there’s actually a plugin for it. One second.

Yeah, I had found it before but didn’t mention it because it’s quite old:

Or here for the GitHub: https://github.com/kayosiii/kde-thumbnailer-blender

And yes, you probably should suggest it to them. Blender is a big part of the general Linux ecosystem, even if half of us don’t use it.

WOAAHH…12 years without update! not sure if i’m going to try it but will work for reporting it in kde  thanks.
