I got black screen on reboot after installing an update. When I searched online solution most of them are nvidia driver issues. Mine is intel, Kde on version 5.&.14-arch1-1. Here’s lspci result
Can you enter tty? … Ctrl + alt + F 2 . You could then try start x or whatever …or downgrade the package … You could also use a live usb to chroot into the system and do the same . I’ve never had to downgrade but from what I hear it’s ok
What was the update?
Update was the usual pacman -Syu
I can enter tty but idk what to do. Before the update I was removing stuffs and I think I may have removed xorg display server stuffs
Welcome!
I have these packages installed, hope it helps:
xf86-input-libinput xf86-input-synaptics xf86-video-fbdev xf86-video-vesa xorg-fonts-encodings xorg-iceauth xorg-server xorg-server-common xorg-setxkbmap xorg-xauth xorg-xdpyinfo xorg-xinit xorg-xkbcomp xorg-xkill xorg-xmodmap xorg-xprop xorg-xrandr xorg-xrdb xorg-xset xorgproto
Note that your system may require slightly different packages…
It may help to look at /var/log/pacman.log
You can retrace what you did and what the update installed.
Welcome to EndeavourOS community!

thanks. I’ll give them a look tomorrow
Yes, but what were the packages ? see the pacman log
If you can get into tty everything cool
Make sure you didn’t uninstal xf86-video-intel
You can generate a new xorg conf (see here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/xorg)
