Just to update you before I put my laptop aside and let Baloo do its thing.
[limo@lenovo ~]$ balooctl disable; sleep 5; balooctl purge; sleep 5; balooctl enable;
Disabling and stopping the File Indexer
Stopping the File Indexer ................................. - done
Deleted the index database
Restarting the File Indexer
Baloo File Indexing has been disabled
Baloo File Indexing has been disabled
Enabling and starting the File Indexer
[limo@lenovo ~]$ balooctl status
Baloo Index could not be opened
[limo@lenovo ~]$ balooctl status
Baloo Index could not be opened
[limo@lenovo ~]$ balooctl monitor
Waiting for file indexer to start
Press Ctrl+C to stop monitoring

Hopefully tomorrow everything will be OK.
