Aur/celt c. aur/python2 - these packages are issued very often

hello dear experts,

i think that i run into these issues twice a month…

Fehler: Keine Datenbank konnte synchronisiert werden (Kann Datenbank nicht sperren)

AUR Update-Check:
:: Durchsuche AUR nach Updates...
 -> Fehlende AUR Pakete:  grub-tools  ipw2100-fw  ipw2200-fw
:: 2 Pakete zu aktualisieren.

anf furthermore:

b. aur/celt
c. aur/python2

what should i do with the mentioned packages - is there any thing that i need to do once - to get rid of some general issues

celt and python2 are both packages that were dropped from the repos. It is highly likely you don’t need celt anymore and can just remove it.

sudo pacman -R celt

You can check if anything still needs python2 with:

pactree -r python2

If the command returns nothing, you can remove it as well.
