Audio not working on Acer Swift 5 SF515-51T

Starting a new thread as instructed!

So I recently tried to install endeavor on this older laptop to try it out
It seems to be great aside from audio issues

I tried some of the prior solutions but still the built in speakers do not play anything
pipewire is installed
alsamixer when I bright it up shows the wrong sound card so I pick the correct one and max the volume on everything

put this in the swift5.conf in /etc/modprobe.d/ directory
options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=1
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi
options snd-hda-intel power_save=1

I also tried to install pamac GUI to get the intel sof sound drivers…but I broke something and still only use pamac cli…

anything else I am missing?

No audio stuff is plugged in, a set of headphones plugged in does work, but not the built in speakers. do I need another command line to unmute the speakers ?

Have you tried this kernel parameter?

/etc/modprobe.d/swift5.conf

options snd_sof_intel_hda_common hda_model=alc255-acer

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Acer_Swift_5

I have, no effect so far.

Did you remove what you previously had there?
