Might be of interest to those using Apple’s silicon
Fedora based no thanks.
No!
Everyone saying no to Fedora, I’m assuming all of this was in the works before the whole Redhat drama.
Sorry no here!
After reading the article it was definitely in the works for quite some time. However apparently using dark mode means you are from hacker news? I use the dark reader extension and I saw this at the bottom of the page. If you turn off dark mode it disappears, but with it on this is what you see.
Even if I don’t personally care for Apple. I first started using linux 4-5 years ago. If linux did not work on the hardware I had at the time. I most likely never would have started using it. If I had to go out and buy new hardware for this thing I had never of that had so many hiccups at first, I likely wouldn’t have gotten to this point. For this reason, I support linux running on as many machines as possible. To afford other people who are just becoming interested in linux that same opportunity.
I think Rick meant “Sorry, I don’t own an apple product” not “Sorry, we don’t allow apple products here”.
Considering this (EOS) is a distro that aims for user freedom and choice, I doubt they would arbitrarily choose which hardware to allow.
Oh, my apologies for the misunderstanding then @ricklinux.
