Arm for Mac Silicon M4 Virtualbox?

Hi there,

sadly due to company policy I had to switch to a Mac M4.

I am missing Linux and thought about using Virtualbox. Using Asahi Linux or similar is not an option.

I read that Arm Linux version should run fine inside Linux. Yet Virtualbox is expecting a iso to run. And from what I know you don’t provide iso files for arm? Has someone an advise how to start here?

I was planning to play around with EOS in utm (qemu) on my MPB (M1) as well, but the linked page with downloads lists only following variants:

  • Raspberry Pi 4b
  • Raspberry Pi 5b
  • Odroid N2
  • PineBook Pro
  • Headless server RPi 4 & 5
  • Headless server Odroid N2

Which should I get for the virtualized environment (if any)?
