That’s so crazy that arch is that old. I have been a Linux user in some form or another since like 07 and didn’t really know about arch until like 9-10 years ago.

Are the original devs still involved with this project or they moved on? Just curious.

Judd Vinet retired from Arch and went to work for Google, Aaron Griffin stepped down in ???
Here is a good history all the way back to 2001.

Here's a short list of some future plans for 0.2:
   * Add a pretty interactive installer. ;)

They call their installer as ‘hurd’. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Sorry if I offended anyone, but couldn’t resist.)

Yeah, they reelected Aaron Griffin.

In the states. It’s been drinking heavily elsewhere for a while now.

Griffin stepped down in 2020, announcing a new system where Arch team members would nominate and vote in a new leader with a 2-year term limit (with no maximum limit of terms for an individual).

The first elected leader was (is) Levente Polyák. He was just re-elected last month for another 2 years.
