Any RTX 3060 users? Need advice

I’m planning to get an RTX3060 (12GB), but before I wanted to jump in, I wanted to know if there are any issues with Nvidia on EndeavourOS. I’m currently using a Radeon 5700XT.

I was planning to get a 6700XT instead, but AMD cards are rarely stocked from where I live and buying them online is too expensive. The only ones around here are Nvidia and a few Intel Arcs.

Thanks in advance!

You will most likely want to install the nvidia proprietary drivers for that card. We have a helper script that will do that for you or you can do it yourself.

Other than that, EOS supports nvidia.

It’s almost worth getting the RTX 3060 TI version since here it is only running about $70 more.

If I were you,I would still recommend the amd card. For a whole plethora of reasons on Linux. Namely Nvidia support for Linux which isn’t great. Expect issues in the future.

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 is on for really good prices here.
