so… after a while (sorry for the delay) I started a small recurring donation on opencollective. Is not much but is there and is there to stay! Thank you EndeavourOS!
I also wanted to buy some merchandise but saw that redbubble is an Australian company. I should also admit that the shipping taxes are some how not encouraging… and therefore wanted to ask here: is there any possibility to buy EndeavourOS merchandise from EU and to support the project?
I previously ordered merch from redbubble and there were no issues (or exorbitant shipping fees for that matter) when ordering to Europe. I’m pretty sure that they have distribution centers within Europe.
I previously ordered EndeavourOS merch from Redbubble and I’m in Europe(Serbia) and i had no issue…oh yeah actually I did have an issue with my package(a hoodie) it disappeared in mail but Redbubble’s support was great and thy send a new one that did arrive within a week!
No issues with extra fees(Maby if I order for more then a 100 euro?).
I don’t remember were thy shipped from but thy work with company’s in Europe.
yeah, I guess ordering smaller amounts makes the shipping fees look big I am also baffled cause I do not know how much of it goes to the project… so I would like better to send directly more to the project than order more merchandise…
They work with printing services all over the world. So, the handler is always one that is near your country, or even in your country.
A small percentage is going to the project, and specifically to @joekamprad , since he is handling the shop.
as said the secondary thought was the efficiency… I get it that in the merchandise I also get something, but if in a, let’s say 50€ order you get 2-3€ that this doesn’t make sense for me. Better to throw 10-15-20€ directly to the project… as this is bringing me the joy…
Great to read that you are now a regular sponsor of EOS.
Last year I bought an EOS T-shirt, but only later realized how little of the money would actually end up in the pockets of the team. Later I discovered that Joe Kamprad has a buymeacoffee account [1], which is another easy way to directly sponsor him.
I don’t know who else of the team have a similar account, though.
The merch is not really to support EndeavourOS as of it is basically only a service.
It is some small regular extra indeed, i do use to give something back to users contributing to EndeavourOS or sending a birthday gift to the Community Leaders.
So it is still giving something back.
And yes Redbubble has manufacturers in different countries, and if possible you will get the item as near by as possible.
Also a lot of things with Redbubble are not ideal, it is very easy to handle for me.
