Annoying "Failed to start Setup Virtual Console" on boot

Hello,

When booting, I previously got lots of boot status messages in the boot console. I don’t know what has changed, but now i just get a few
“[FAILED] Failed to start Setup Virtual Console”
error messages, no other status messages, then my system goes to my display manager just fine.

What things can I check or change to resolve this issue?

Welcome @Waleed_trz! I suspect what’s happening is vconsole is trying to access a keymap that doesn’t exist. I encounter this issue on all of my systems, because vconsole setup by default tries to access the au keymap (Australia), which isn’t a valid keymap. For clarity, the keymap should match what type of keyboard you’re using. So in Australia, we actually use the US standard keyboard layout, so my keymap is us. Thanks! This seems to have fixed the problem, now i just have no virtual console on boot rather than “failed to start setup virtual console” errors, which is definitely better.
