Hello everyone,
Hopefully someone can help me. I am trying to install anki but it appears with the followin UI.
I have tried to install using anki-bin and anki packages but both show the same UI. I have also added the render group to my user due to a possible error I saw in anki AUR repository (helped by LLM so it might not be the correct play).
Does someone know what else I could do?

What DE are you on, because I just installed it on Plasma without any problems.
Did you update before installing it ?
I think you are mentioning the environment. If it is correct I am using i3wm
No idea if it would work on your D(esktop) E(nvironment) but looking at the dependicies I see qt6-svg mentioned, which is for Plasma or Lxqt so I am not sure the UI will even work on your DE.
Maybe try to find a solution on the forum.
If I am not mistaking Hyprland has wayland support and that was mentioned as needed on the site of Anki.
Yes, uses it’s own wayland compositor, missed that bit.
Try starting anki from a terminal. See if you get some useful output which can give some info about what may be the issue.
In the meantime I have installed anki-qt5 which works flawlessly
Just as I typed this message i checked anki wiki and they say to go to Tools > Preferences and change Video Driver to software. I have tried this and it worked
