I updated windows on my Minisforum v3 and bricked it :frowning:

Hadn’t seen this mentioned on reddit:

So, went to the Minisforum site and downloaded the windows image and put it on a ventoy USB and booted to it on my main laptop.

It wiped both of my NVMEs before I had chance to react. Thank god for backups, Miniforums name was (insert expletive) mud.

Grrrrr. All fixed now.

Nah, I am deadly around electronics :rofl:

The only things I lost:

  • My wallpaper (1 file).
  • My mariadb install I was playing with, it stores it bloody databases in the stupidest place. Not a problem, I was using it as a playground for python, Start again, will see if I can move the databases to a sensible place.
